Good to hear your putting you feet up and letting it rest. I made the mistake of jumping back to work next day… Not a good idea.
The op I found very surreal, but the weeks after with the healing / care were a rollercoaster of ‘better, worse, better’ and ‘is this normal?’
Hope all goes well, another couple of months and it’s happy days!

just had my cut and lace dance yesterday. my V day almost identical to you, work, not a thought about the afternoon op, wife drops me off. Felt good reading your blog, like having a cup of tea.
Am in bed watching a host of films, iPlayer, reading and writing. However your blog made me feel normal in this most abnormal of circumstance for me.

I did wait a few days after that, and now I am back in business…all is well, no pain anywhere…
I can`t wait to get my sample tasted and carry on with a worry free sex situation……

This one was my second test, so thankfully I can rest assured that my swimmers ain’t swimming. I was quite surprised myself, I was expecting something like your experience but alas with both the results for first and seond tests currently being lost in the system it took a little more effort to chase them myself. I am still wondering how long it will take to be ‘officially’ notified by my doctor.

Congratulations! Odd that they gave you so much trouble over there, here in New York I just identified myself over the phone and the urologist’s secretary gave me the lab results.

Also they insist on TWO zero results, a month apart, before they give you the all-clear, to eliminate the possibility of early failure. I’d recommend that to you too if you want to be absolutely safe, which is kind of the whole point of the procedure.

To be honest I didnt even think about having sex for about 3-4 weeks after.
Whilst a lot of the pain had subsided there was a lot of discomfort, which in turn made moving ‘the bits’ very uncomfortable, I can only imagine sex would have aggrevated that and so I just put up with it until for a little longer to make sure all was going to be good.

HI,
I just got my Vasectomy done a week ago, and I was wondering how long did he take you before you could go about your business without any pain at all!
On my post recovery form that was handed to me by my Dr. it says no sex for a week, I have been counting the days and yesterday I tried, but was still in too much pain! I just need someone to tell me how long do I have to wait!
